Computer & S/W Engineering
The Department of Computer and Software Engineering at Bahria
University is home to multi-disciplinary research and academic units
that address issues and recent advances in Computer and Software
Engineering. The department provides research areas and cutting edge
facilities in Computer and Software engineering. Our Goal has been, and
continues to be, to provide a high degree programme in Computer and
Software Engineering, a programme that prepares students for lifelong
learning as they take on professional careers in computing.
Electrical Engineering
PEC Accreditation: The program is accreditation by Pakistan Engineering Council
The department of Electrical engineering offers a four years bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering with a choice of specialization in either electronics or telecommunications. The department has access to fourteen labs dealing with advance areas of Electronics like DSP, Image processing, Networking, Wireless and mobile communication, FPGA based design etc. The department has 19 and 24 full time faculty members including a numbers of PhDs in Islamabad and Karachi Campus respectively.
Admissions: July of each year, one intake per year. No admission is offered during the spring semester

Computer Sciences
The department offers two undergraduate programs of four years in BS Computer Sciences, BS Electronics & Telecom Management. Concurrently it also runs MS Programs in Software Engineering & Telecom Networks. A four year PhD program in Electrical Engineering, has also commenced while state of the art hardware and computer labs are available for teaching and research.

Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences
The
Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences offers BS (4 years) and
MS (2 years) degree programs in Geology, Geophysics and Environmental
Sciences. In a short span of ten years it has joined the ranks of highly
reputed institutions in the field. The graduates of this department
employed by national and multinational companies have proven, that it
strives for highest of the academic standards. Field trips make the
essential part of the syllabus taught. Student chapters of professional
organizations such as Society for Exploration Geophysists (SEG) and
Pakistan Association of Petroleum Geologists (PAPG) and the Green
Environment Club provide them the opportunities to participate in and
organize seminars, workshops, lectures and conferences, etc.

New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation provides the newcomers with information regarding university services, policies and procedures, student responsibilities, faculty expectations, etc. It also includes development of learning, study skills and development of computing skills. The orientation takes place prior to the start of the semester, and all the new students have to attend it
Department of Law
The
Department of Law (DoL) has been established with the aim to provide
high – quality legal education with an advanced curriculum in accordance
with the needs of Pakistan and world market. Pakistani legal and
justice system is in a fast develop0ing mode and I view of future needs
trained human capital is desperately needs.
The
international dependence o on global economy has converted the world in
to what is called a ‘global village’ which has in particular increased
the significance of legal education and training around the world. From
corporate matters to environmental issues to international obligations,
governance to rule of law and from media to cyber and space issues for
all, legal knowledge and training is absolutely necessary.
The
DoL is a platform from where the required human capital will be trained
and developed. The Academic programs and infrastructure at the DoL will
provide a sound footing for further advancement in its proposed fields
of excellence and in accordance with the needs of the market and
society.
It
will have a strong research oriented ethos and Insha-Allah will be the
leading law institution in the country where both theoretical and
practical research will be undertaken in all fields of law and legal
studies. The Department will follow a modern and comprehensive
curriculum duly approved by the Higher Education Commission and the
Pakistan Bar Council to improve the intellectual and professional skills
of law graduates
